When considering a vacation in April, there are a few good bets and a few places to avoid.  One great thing about planning an April vacation is that for many destinations, especially the Caribbean, this is low season and great deals are readily available.  Due to the world wide recession, 2009 is an especially good time to get a deal on a vacation.

One thing to beware of when booking an April vacation is that April is spring break season and some destinations are inundated with the often rowdy younger crowd.  Resort destinations in Mexico, especially Cancun and Cozumel should probably be avoided.  Jamaica and many Florida destinations will also have a huge influx of spring breakers as well.

April is a great time for a Caribbean vacation for two reasons.  One, the weather is great – not too hot yet, and no threat of hurricanes.  It can be a little rainy in some of the islands in April, but a quick trip to weather.com should help you figure out where to avoid.  Two, this is the low season for most Caribbean resorts and the travel deals are fantastic.
